What is the difference between Business Email and a Mail Server
Business Email puts your mailboxes on our shared mail platform, priced per mailbox, and you add or remove people as your team changes. A Mail Server is infrastructure of your own, with its own sending IP and no other customers on it. Most businesses want the first. The second suits organisations sending in volume, or those whose compliance requirements say their mail cannot share a server.
Can I move my existing mailboxes across
Yes. We copy everything from your current provider, including folders, sent items and attachments, and verify the counts folder by folder before anything is switched over. Your old mail keeps working until you approve the change.
How much storage does each person actually need
Most people are comfortable on 10 GB. Anyone who keeps everything, works with large attachments, or has years of history behind them will want 50 GB. If a single mailbox outgrows that, the archive add-on adds 200 GB to that mailbox alone rather than forcing the whole team onto a larger plan.
Which email programs work with this
Any of them. Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird and the mail apps on iPhone and Android all connect over standard IMAP and SMTP. Calendars and contacts sync as well. There is also webmail if you would rather not set anything up.
What happens if a mailbox fills up
New mail stops being delivered until space is freed, so we tell you before that point rather than after. You can clear space, move the mailbox to a larger plan, or add the archive add-on to that one mailbox.
Is email included with hosting
Email is a separate product. Hosting storage is for your website, and mixing the two means a growing mailbox eats the space your site needs. Keeping them apart means the storage figure on your hosting plan is the storage your site actually gets.
